Draught (De Prael, Amsterdam) - Amber in colour with a haze and a foamy head. Smoked malt, ash and caramel in the aroma. Smoky and fruity taste with smoked malt (or bacon!) detected along with sultanas, caramel and spice. Nice but not something I’d be able to drink a lot of.

(Draught at De Prael Proeflokaal, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2015) Hazy amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, slightly smoky nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, smoke, bacon and caramel. Fruity, slightly smoky taste with caramel, citrus, orange peel, gentle flavours of smoke and bacon, and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, with a distinct, but balanced, smoke profile. Quite nice.
