At a tasting, thanks zvikar, no head, hazy deep orange colour, aroma of caramel, dates and butterscotch, flavour of dried fruits, toffee and candy with a woody hint, slightly oily palete. Nice but not too exciting.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks zvikar. 2011 bottle. Hazy orange-amber. Aroma of malt, cardboard, some fruitiness and some wood. Sweet flavor, malty, honey-ish, with some fruitiness, a cardboard note, an alcoholic touch and a bitterish note. Rounded mouthfeel, kinda oily.

Bottle - Vintage 2009 - Big oaky port notes, plum, fig, cherry and all the great dark fruit. Muddy reddish brown with a very thin white head. Wood up front, with some light dark fruit and finishes with a bit of toffee, leather and a hint of spice. This is a great beer, that smells much better than it tastes.

Bottle from Craig. Cloudy Britten, no head. Woody, nutty, oaky aromas. Vinous, but not port as such. Chewy and a bit of cardboard there.

Gorgeous deep orange, small head. The nose is great. smells like maple syrup, earthy fruits, oak. Wow on the taste, Very sweet, no bitterness but it leaves this walnut astringent burnt taste at the finish. up front it was awesome but leaves a lot to be desired at the end.

2009 bottle from Beer Run. Pours a murky brown-amber color with large floating particles. Thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of raisin, wood, grapes, mild brandy, heavy oxidation. The taste is very sweet malts, brown sugar, raisin, wood, peppery hops, booze. Medium bodied, very sweet, fairly hot.
