Can from J's. Pours a clearish gold with a full 3 fingers of foam. Grassy nose with some pils malt, chili and green mango aromas. Very active and sprtizy carbonation and foam. Light mango flesh, lemon zest on the palate followed by lingering chili heat. Chili builds after a bit. --- Beer merged from original tick of Stillwater Gnam Gnam on 14 Mar 2018 at 19:13 - Score: 7. 12 oz can poured into a tulip. Hazy yellowish orange with off-white head. Lots of tiny floating sediment. Aromas of mango, citrus, floral notes, herbs, some aged hops. Tastes of orange citrus, floral notes, candied orange, some herbs. Medium body with a dry finish. Maybe a little chili on the finish but very subtle. Well masked alcohol. Nice enough with some stir fry.

12oz can. Poured a slightly golden yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was lots of citrus, some mango, touch of spice. Light peppercorn, some light spicy character, with mango character.

Can: Lemongrass nose. Shimmering amber, thick head, good lace. Lemongrass and lilly. Light body, soft carbonation. Easy drinking considering the alcohol content.

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of juicy mangoes, melon, lemongrass, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, Thai chilies, citrus zest, wheat, white bread, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops, mango, lemongrass/chili, and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big juicy mangoes, melon, lemongrass, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, Thai chilies, citrus zest, wheat, white bread, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy/zesty bitterness, chili pepper spiciness, and mango tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of Taste of big juicy mangoes, melon, lemongrass, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, Thai chilies, citrus zest, wheat, white bread, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, mango, lemongrass/chili, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/spiciness balance; with zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 8%. Mildly increasing chili heat through the glass, but not overwhelming. Overall this is a very nice spiced DIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, mango, lemongrass/chili, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mildly bitter/spicy finish. Nicely balanced juicy hops, mangoes, and earthy chili/lemongrass spice; nice bready malt backbone, not overly sweet/heavy feeling. Feels kind of oriental or something. Unique, but delicious. The chilies are well restrained. A very enjoyable offering.

12oz can. Filtered looking light orange-tan body. Thin, steady, frothy, white head. All of the advertised flavors come through. There is some chili heat, which lingers pleasantly in the aftertaste. Very drinkable. Quite unique. Has some of the at lacto-ish feel of other recent Stillwater offerings. A lot going on, but well executed.
