This beer taught us that patience truly is a virtue. KBS is a big imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolate and then bourbon barrel-aged to perfection. Incredibly silky and full-bodied with notes of vanilla, cocoa, roasted coffee and charred oak.

A black beer with a tan lacing. Aroma of maple syrup, sweet dark malt, bourbon. Taste of maple syrup, vanilla, bourbon, strong malt.

355ml bottle, bottled on 02.14.18 18016.
A dusty bottle from the stash. After almost 7 years it's held up well. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, molasses, coffee. Taste follows suit with plenty of sweet dark chocolate, coffee, molasses, creamy vanilla, some oaky notes and a boozy bourbon warmth to finish. Smooth, medium-full bodied. Great.
