Bottle at Craigs. Pours hazy dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of chocolate, light spice, light coffee. Taste is chocolate, some vegetables. Chewy finish.

WoW even my girlfriend that definitely (her words) do NOT like black beer…..ehh had to admit that this was close to nice. Had to be nice in my view. She finished it. She did not like beer either some years ago. Well she just do not like pale lager. Had not tried anything else. Saison, wit, session ipa etc goes down fast these days. The point is this. If anyone say they do not like black beer. Let them try this one. Smooth nice chocolate, mild vanilla and some coffee. How is it possible not to like this one? Extreme well hidden alcohol and a nice balanced sweetness. Lovely!

Caña en el Lupulo el 15-10-2015. Color negro intenso con muy poca espuma beige. Aromas y sabores maltosos bastante tostados con toques ahumados y terrosos de chiles. Toques de vainilla S y chocolates con ligeros tonos de lectoras al calentar. Poco picante siendo sólo la sensación del sabor del Chile. Bastante buena. Cuerpo medio denso con buena sensación alcohólica. Para repetir.

Beertopia 2015 #10. Thick black pour. Aroma is dark chocolate and roasted coffee and malt. Taste follows - very chocolate, coffee, bitter. Smooth. Not much molé but very chocolate. Good not great.

Bouteille 50cl, batch# 1362, BB 04/02/2020. Brune foncée-noire, col crémeux café au lait. Arôme est malté grillé, léger chocolaté avec une note de noisette en rétro et ce côté organique de mole; haricot en purée? Le chocolat reste pas mal en rétro. Palais offre un malté prononcé, chocolaté, café pointe de grillé, poussiéreux, et sec au fini. Retrouve une petite touche de noisette, certaine épaisseur venant des rajoute aux 10%. Amertume perdure sans être trop en avant avec un aspect noble. 50cl reste cependant un peu trop pour une personne.

Opaque black - brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, fairly low carbonation. The dark malts bring mild cream and dark chocolate and some bitterness. Dark malt tang. Light semi dry finish. Pretty drinkable but nothing out of the ordinary.

Sample from bottle @ BØ 15. Pours pitch black, with a big creamy mocha head. Aroma is dark roasted malts with coffee and molasses, as well as cocoa, dark fruits and notes of wood. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark malts with coffee, peat and tobacco, muscovado and notes of wood, as well as notes of dark fruits. Well balanced.
