Pours crystal clear ruby reddish/orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light pink head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of almond, vanilla, lacto/musty funk, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of almond, vanilla, lacto/musty funk, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light yeast/tannic spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto/musty funk, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. I know this is only with cherry juice, but it felt like whole fruit to me. Awesome balance of jammy cherries, Lacto, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Not much Brett at all. A really enjoyable offering, and great style example.
