This sweet tart sour ale is full of Turkish Delight cherries, giving it a puckered up punch of cherry charm, then it's fermented with some Brettanomyces for that extra funky funk. We love you, Cherry Jane. Do ya?

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/14/2018. Pours crystal clear ruby reddish/orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light pink head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of almond, vanilla, lacto/musty funk, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of almond, vanilla, lacto/musty funk, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light yeast/tannic spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto/musty funk, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic. I know this is only with cherry juice, but it felt like whole fruit to me. Awesome balance of jammy cherries, Lacto, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Not much Brett at all. A really enjoyable offering, and great style example.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours bright "cherry" red with a transient pinkish head. Aroma of "dried" cherries - sort of sweet - sort of not. Near med body. Flavor is cherry - tart, but more tart/sweet. Not getting a trace of wheat. Good that. So not wholly dry, but dry enough. Not very sour/tart, but enough of that as well. Interesting and tasty.
