These kinds of beers are so susceptible to what you've had to eat or drink before hand which can totally change the aspect. This time around it's so much better and the Aromas are fresh hops, Citrus, grassy, pale malt. Flavors are like Nose, lightly sweet little bitter excellent body and carbonation. Ditto the Finish. Super drinkable.

10/03/18. Packed with sulfur smell. Bathrooms. Tastes like nice hop juice. Weeeeird... And this is modern times so dunno if it could be a bad batch. Or my nose is broken, will update as I continue... Still mad sulfur months later.

Pint can pours with a somewhat hazy gold to straw gold body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up grapefruit, cantaloupe and mango with a faint oat sensation in the background. The taste delivers smooth guava, mango and cantaloupe sweet juiciness as well as a modest level of brighter bitter grapefruit like hoppiness. The hop bitterness grows some into the finish but struggles against the onslaught of sweetness. Overall this is somehow a bit too sweet. Drinks good otherwise.

Canned 10/22, drunk 11/9/18.
Moderately hazy, dull-brass golden with a hint of brighter lemon. White head atop is small, sitting at cover.
Nelson is front-and-center, with earth, mineral, moss, kumquat, lime skin and very light white grape adding quite well-expressed aromas for this hop. Not sure how much Motueka you get, but it most likely intensifies the mineral character and strong tropical nuances. Simcoe hangs on the end, contributing more mundane notes of light pine and grapefruit with dry, cracker-forward malts staying mostly out-of-the-way and the yeast adding gentle fruit esters and little/no bubble gum. No alcohol or flaw and no resin.
In the mouth it's quite dry, with tons of cracker and earthy, mineral-rich Nelson notes that also contribute to dryness and moderate bitterness. Warming brings out the juicy mango-passion fruit of the Austro-NZ hops while succulent pine/grapefruit sits gently on the end from the Simcoe and it never gets resinous nor does the yeast come across messy or overly estery. Very dry, maybe even a touch too much so? Still, it's a not-over-the-top with the NE character, NE IPA that's done very well.

On draught at Harry's Hofbrau in Redwood City. Hazy creamsicle orange with moderate white head that fades quickly. Massive patterning down the glass. Beautiful grape and tropical aroma. Taste is orange and yeast marrying well.
