This seasonal beer is a limited edition brewed for the short days and long nights of winter. The full body resulting from fermentation in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’ and the luxurious malt character, which will appeal to a broad range of drinkers, is balanced against whole-dried Fuggle and Golding hops with nuances and complexities that should be contemplated before an open fire.

550ml bottle (2021–2022). Pours opaque orange with a tall off-white head. Aroma is toffee, spiced fruits, toasted malt. Taste is medium sweet, light spices, malt, toffee, some warming alcohol. Light bitter finish.

Bottle. Clear pale orange sporting a decent white head. Mild aroma of oranges, toffee and malts. Taste of caramel, orange marmelade, toffee, malts and dried fruits. Low to moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. A little bit of alcoholic warmth. Ok but it also felt somewhat disappointing.

2021/2022 bottle. Creamy white head stayed on a deep amber coloured body. Malt, bitter & spiced fruits aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & lively on the back. Malt, sweet berries, spiced fruits & orange peel tastes with a bitter peppery finish. Very tasty.
