Welcome back our boldly hoppy pal. Legendary Cascade hops mix-it-up with assertive Simcoe for a powerful, citrusy and earthy foundation that is galvanized with a big punch of fruity Citra. This IPA packs a hoppy wallop!

Cask@GBBF2009. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is nectar and wood along with some vanilla in a very pleasant balance. Flavour is caramel, wood, nectar and also has some rather nice fruityness and sour wooden notes in it. Wellbalanced.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours cloudy dark orange with a fully gone white head. Aroma is mild grapefruity and of orange hops notes. Dry, mild spiced and citrus fruity hops flavours. Dry hoppy, light malt base and very bitter flavoured into a lasting dry far finish. I would have liked a bit more body from the malt to give a better smoothness and balance to the hops.

Bottle from Utobeer in London. A golden coloured DIPA from the USA. I have always enjoyed Victory beers. Nice fresh hop aroma. Bitter sweet taste with plenty of hops. Hops are certainly not overpowering like some US beers. Very enjoyable, wish it were more widely available here in Europe.

Bottle, Utobeer, London. Vaguely disappointed by this although t’was by no means a calamitous pour. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Aroma fairly hop laden. Doesn’t drink like an 8.5%er to its credit. Some sweet malt evident in the flavour to balance up the hoppage, which wasn’t quite as in your face as I thought it might be. Drying finish. Lacking the knockout blow, but pleasingly diverting nonetheless.

Bottle from Real Ale Ltd, cheers Duff, consumed the same day as I received the package 29-04-09 Pours mid gold, a little hazy, with a white head that swiftly departed. This had a really streaky citrus, ’grapefruit’? theme running throughout but with a nice honey sweetness. Quite a thick beer in the mouth with a nice gentle fizzy hoppiness sending little bubble hop bombs around the whole mouth. The bitterness and sweetness continue to zip around the tongue and roof of mouth, its a very nice beer. A7 A3 F8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Bottled (CK, BB 10/2009). Slightly hazy golden-orange color, good creamy off-white head. Strong aroma of pine, grapefruit and cat piss. Very hop juicy with loads of pine, grapefruit and other fruity flavors. Medium-bodied, not extremely malty, so actually drinkability is quite ok. Also hides alcohol very well. Good beer, but maybe a bit boring, I would not drink this very often.

Bottle. Poured pale orange with lasting white foamy head. Aroma of hop, citrus, pine and grass. Full mouthed hoppy flavour, with naartjie notes. Lasting bitter hop finish. Another winner from Victory.

bottle, pours golden/orange with thick white head. By looking at the label, I expected a big hop bomb, instead I got an amazing IIPA. Aroma is hoppy with notes of fruits with a syrupy sugar nose and good caramel malts notes. Taste, light hops citrus at first, followed by light caramel malt notes. From the hops, I get some nice and fruit notes of grapefruit adding a nice and enjoyable bitterness. Good abv, with a spicy mouthfeel. Ends creamy. My kind of IIPA, well balanced.
