Draught @ Great Notion, Portland, OR. Pours pitch black with a smooth head. Aroma has loads of smoky maple syrup, roasty malts, wood, coffee, bacon and cocoa. Taste is smooth, sweet and syrupy with some roastiness, hints of smoked wood, loads of maple syrup and coffee beans. Finish is sweet, sticky and syrupy with some coffee, roastiness, pancakes and loads of maple syrup. Like a liquid version of a maple syrup pancake + coffee breakfast. Unique and intense. Somehow reminds me of Omnipollos experimental imperial stouts.

Bottle at Liquid On tap at the source in Seattle-USA. Can. Dark brown pour ivory little foam not much of retention, some traces on the surface. Nose: pan cakes, maple syrup. Mouth: mirrors the nose with less richness. Strange but tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Growler - Black coffee, syrup and roast. Jet brown with almost no head. Dark sweet roast, syrup, touch of smoke and bitterness. Nice.

On tap at great notion Portland. pours out dark brown almost black topped with a small tan head. nose is big maple syrup were are the pancakes this is sweet chocolate roast malts some coffee and that syrup sweetness. taste is more of the nice breakfast in a cup coffee roast malts maple syrup sweetness.

Crowler thanks to Russell. Pours black with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is maple, roast, cocoa, nuts. Thick mouth, chewy, roast, dark chocolate, maple, very sweet, really nice.

On tap at Great Notion, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out maple syrup galore, like breakfast pancakes - super potent. Flavour is lovely, with notes of coffee, maple syrup and light roast. Well-balanced, with loads of maple syrup that dominates. Fantastic stuff.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a pitch black color with a medium beige head. A huge sweet maple syrup smoke nose. The flavor is big sweet coffee, maple syrup, roast, chocolate, ashy, lactose. Very good.
