Tap @ Mikkeller, Aarhus. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich coffee, lots of maple, bourbon, chocolate, roast malt and hops. Sweet finish. Full bodied.

Tap @ Mikkeller Aarhus, 10%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, espresso and maple. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, espresso, maple, sweet, cake and a little bitter.

Draft. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of maple syrup, coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of maple syrup, roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee, leading to a dry roasted finish.

From tap. Pours pitch black. Small brown head. Aroma is dense maple syrup and slight coffee. Lingering dark malty and dense maple syrup. Lingering sweet and syrupy. Dense roasted malt. Dense and lingering syrupy finish.

Pours black, close to an inch of tan foam, lacing is pretty damn good.
As soon as I pulled the tab, the smell of maple syrup permeated the air around me. Exactly like what you pour on pancakes. Except I sense some coffee.
Maple syrup, coffee, vanilla, roasted malt in spades taste wise. Oooh boy, a bit overwhelming at first but once my palate got used to it, everything fell into place as it should.
I will call it full bodied, the carbonation is impressive for a Crowler canned in November? I have zero experience with Crowlers until now so...is this typical?
It gets sweeter as it warms but doesn't cross my line.
Gotta say, this is a huge winner, partly because the alcohol is subdued for the abv.

Crowler [from trade] @ home shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Opaque black color, average sized beige to light brown head. Aroma scared the crap out of me initially. Huge (Dutch) "hopjesvla" and (Dutch) koffiekoekjes / cafe noir aroma. After a while it becomes more espresso but still the hopjesvla and cafe noir comes through. Flavor is the same: hopjesvla and cafe noir again with some dark malts, maple syrup and vanilla. I just really really dislike this flavor. Guess it's a love or hate beer, and unfortunately I hate it. Absolutely not my kind of beer.

Crowler @ benzai. Black with a medium sized light brown head. Smells maple syrup, very sweet, Haagse hopjes, roasty. Tastes sweet, maple syrup, roasty, chocolate, espresso. Nice. Full body, soft carbo. Fun beer.

So much maple syrup. Dark brown. Maple and a nice bitter roast, with a fair bit of chocolate syrup. Very sweet, maple is all over this with a pile of chocolate, touch of roast...I like the interplay between the different elements.

Thanks Jay for sharing the crowler! Poured into a teku showing pitch black with sparse white foam lacing. The nose shows strong maple forwardness with undertones of milk chocolate. The palate is lightly carbonated and light bodied. Maple forward but with a distinct coffee-like tartness and under tones of dark chocolate with once again more maple on the resurgence. Surprisingly not cloying or overly sweet and very well made for a maple beer.
