Not to be mistaken for a German Wheat/Weisse beer! This is a Pale Ale brewed with substantial wheat in the grain bill and American Ale yeast. It has bold U.S. hop flavour from Cascade, Centennial and Willamette with a robust body and slight spicy flavour from the wheat.

50 cl bottle @ O’hara’s Freehouse. Batch #87: bottled 06/2014, BBE 06/2015. Aroma has fruity hops with minerals, soapy tones and toffee. Flavour has resiny tones, fruity hops, minerals and some toffee. Rather heavy for this ABV and the mineral tones disturb a bit.

Keg @ John Daly’s, Mullingar [071114]
Amber, very murky, doesn’t look great tbh
Aroma of citrus zest, pine hops, orange zest, sweet malts, fresh
Taste of piney bitter hops, zesty grapefruit, pungent hops, bitter orange, sweet caramel, wheat, rich flavour
Palate- Medium carb and body, smooth, rather, little heavy, rich mouthfeel, acidic citrus hops, yes...it’s getting way too acidic with the drinking
Overall - Good flavour, but the over high acidity spoilt this

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - amber to copper and slightly cloudy with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - mandarin and cereal. Taste - more oranges and cereal very well integrated. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - enjoyable and balanced.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy orange body with a large off-white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of mashed strawberry, tangerine, caramel and grapefruit. Flavour of wheat, orange and minerals. Thin body with a creamy texture. Light fizz. A hoppy wheat beer. Decent, but less bitter than I would have liked.
