Can shared at Lucky Bamboo. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates. Grain and corn syrup aromas dominate the nose. Palate is a bit thin with more sweet corn and grain. No real hops on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hamms on 20 Apr 2019 at 08:54 - Score: 5

16 oz can on 13th March 2019. Drank at my daughters place in California. Got to love Millers for not mentioning their name on this bland and boring beer. Pale golden pour, clean and clear; fast fading white crown. Malty front to the nose and what taste there was, thin mouthfeel. Another Miller product that helps to keep them as my lowest scoring brewery in the world.

Pale yellow with white foam. Smells like many other American lagers, alcohol and bitter. Taste is slightly sweet with a different hop/bitter finish than others in this category. Fades quickly, light and easy.

Bad, but helps with perspective; beer like this was pretty much all you could get for decades in the U.S., something to keep in mind while bitching over the level of haze in your IPA or if your imperial stout needed to brewed with fewer or more cinnamon rolls. I mean, if you like soda-ish, corn-sweet bland beer, then Hamm's will be your thing. And it might make a nice alternative if you're a hipster and sick of PBR. Otherwise, it is what it is.

Quaffable for a pale lager. 12oz can-disappearing offwhite-yellow. A-hay/bready/some sweet cereal, slight perfumy. T-follows.

24 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 2/12/2018. Pours crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of cracker, corn, white bread dough, light biscuit/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. A touch fruity, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with pale malt/grains and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, corn, white bread dough, light biscuit/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, corn, white bread dough, light biscuit/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.6%. Overall this is a very good pale adjunct lager style. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Very clean pale malt/grains and solid earthy hop presence for the style. Not overdone on adjuncts. A very enjoyable offering, one of the best macro AAL I've had.

Can with the tasting group, thanks Steve for the trip down nostalgia lane. Pale lager colored pour, pale lager smell, pale lager taste. Rating complete. At this point I’d insert the smiley thumbs up emoticon if I could... OK, so honestly this isn’t too bad. Better than the Myanmar lager we had earlier. Light grass and corn syrup, faint lager malt. One of the mildest pale lagers that I can recall and certainly not offensive.

16oz can thanks to Steve. Pours out a pale wheat color topped with a white head. Nose is light corn grassy notes and a touch of malts. Taste is more of the light crisp corn notes and a little grassy.
