The character of the elderberry flowers lends this beer a very pronounced, floral taste that is nevertheless very refreshing.
Since 2008, once a year Cantillon Brewery has produced Zwanze, a special-edition beer that is completely different each time around, with Mamouche originally appearing as Zwanze 2009. This beer is completely different from anything else produced by Cantillon, and we decided to continue producing it on a regular basis. Mamouche is what the seven grandsons of the Van Roy-Cantillon family call their grandmother, Claude Cantillon. As such it is the counterpart of the Lou Pepe beers.

Bottle shared for Zwanze 2024. Massive elderflower which goes very well with the mild lambic and cellar funk. Great batch, great beer!

Bottle pour at ACBF2017/Gainsbar, 2011 Vintage. Pours cloudy golden, small white head. Cellar, fruity, funk, sour, wood, smooth. Perfumish aroma. Moderate+ acidity, dry finsh. Average to high carbonation. Very good, but definitely not my favorite from Cantillon. 18 Sep 22 Bottle, 750 ml at charity tasting Wien 2022. Shared with Miro B, Werckmeister and others. Vintage 2014. Cloudy orange with white head. Very nice floral notes, elderflowers, citrus, quite dry, medium sourness. Quite complex. 9/5/9/4/18

Vintage 2013. From 04.11.2013 in my cellar (Italian wooden case almost ten Years) 750 ml bottle from beer planet. zastanawiałem się czy nie poszaleć i dać maksymalna 5. Doskonale, niesamowite, niemal wybitne i niemal najwyższa moja ocena.
