Bottled. Hazy amber color, big frothy off-white head. Lovely hop aroma, ofcourse one of the better aroma hops around. Bit citrus, grapefruit, hint of pine. Decent malty backbone. Slight sharpish bitterness, quite dry. Hint of sweetness.

bottle from Bierkompass. Hazy amber colour, large and very stable off-white head, still there after a quarter of an hour. Bitter-sweet, citrusy hops with a piney character. Interesting to taste on its own.

Draught @ Mikkkeller Baghaven, Copenhagen
Pours hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, orange and citrus. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long caramel, orange and citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. Pours golden with a off-white head. Aroma and taste is not as bitter as the tomahawk version. [8 4 6 3 13 - 3.4 11/14/2010]

Bottle: Poured a hazy light orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit and bitter hoppy notes are dominant and enjoyable. Taste is also a good mix between some hoppy notes with some citrus and grapefruit notes and some bitterness with a dry caramel malt backbone. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Well brewed and interesting though it gets kind of hard to distinguish some of those West-Coast hops. Interesting beer though a was expecting even more grapefruit and more floral undertones. This is now making me wonder whether Amarillo is still my favorite hosp as I had previously thought.

Bottle. A hazy, golden-orange beer topped by a two-finger off-white head not leaving lacings. Grapefruit and some floral notes on the nose, leaving the lightly caramel-like maltyness in the back. A peppery hint and some lemon peel too. Itβs full-bodied and quite effervescent, some alcohol can be felt. The flavor follows the same path as the aroma, grapefruit and some floral flavors are more evident than the caramel malty sweetness. A good bitterness follows you all the way from the first sip until some time after the last drop leaves the glass. Quenching, pleasant and tasteful. 100723

330mL bottle, pours hazy amber orange with a towering white head. Aroma of spicy hops, pine, wood and caramel, and maybe a bit of fruitiness. Flavour of rich piney hops, wood, caramel, some roasted malt and grapefruit. Rich creamy palate, with a nice bitter aftertaste. Most excellent!

Bottle. Pours a light orange with a fluffy white head that leaves lots of lacing on the side of the glass. The body is just slightly cloudy and the aromas are fairly light... some bitter orange type hops coming through. Flavor is light, sharp and crisp... lots of a bitter citrus that is almost like unripe oranges or something. It blends really well with the malt on this one and this comes off as one of my favorites in the series.
