Blend of lambics aged on average 16 to 18 months and of Merlot grapes.
Lambic can be rightly considered the missing link between the worlds of wine and beer, and Saint Lamvinus takes this one step further by adding grapes normally intended for wine production.
Intense, fruity beer that lingers on the palate and has a clear connection to its winemaking origins.

Prima zachte en volle tonen van druiven en eikenhout, afdronk is niet te metalig, maar ook weer niet zo gebalanceerd als een fou, prima

Bottle. Pours deep dark hazy red with a thick white head. Aromas of tart, dark red berries. Raspberry, cherries, red grapes. Lots of red wine notes, some leather and funk. Taste is tart rich red berries up front, dry oaky notes, funk, slight barnyard, leather, vinous notes. God damn, this beer!

On tap at the Jeffrey. Pours deep red purple. Funk, barnyard, red grape, plum, fig, little umami, red wine vinegar, strong red fruit, a little blackberry, dry funky finish. Medium body with a nice spritz. Very good.
