The term Pale Ale characterizes a lighter type of ale brewed in lighter malts. A beer with a distinctive hops fruity notes and a marked bitterness. The name is derived from a Bulldog named Krut. With over 40 pounds of muscle, Krut deserved respect. he was a true joy spreader just like this beer.

Optisch schönes Kupferrot. In der Nase feine Mango. Im Trunk setzt sich das fort, erst cremig, dann bitter matt, Keks. Schön komponiert, lecker.

33cl bottle. Pours almost clear orange amber colour with a huge good lasting beige head. Aroma of citrus, red malt, toated malt, some spruce. Taste of citrus, spruce, tangerine, orange, fruity bitterness, nice!

Bottle at restaurant in Västerås. I know this beer has been better before but this time it came across distinctly bland, almost like an English ale rather than a pale ale. It was far too bitter. A good accompaniment for food however. ------ Re-rated on tap at Gamla Teateren, Östersund. A lot better than last time. A decent APA, heavy in old hope flavour. No worse than many good ones around but nothing cray good of course. ----- Rerated tap at en trapp upp in Hemavan. A decent ale, nice hops but nothing revalutionary. 3.3 to 3.5 (9/4/18). ------ Re-rated, tap at Brunkullan, Östersund. 3.5 to 3.3.

Draft @ Meatballs for the People, Stockholm. Dreadful, overpriced meatball place. Pours clear amber, white head. Unfussy pale ale. Faint citrus, some floral action. Largely lacking in flavour but nice and refreshing.

Geel rood bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en fruitig met mooie geur en smaak. Geproefd in restaurant Blaa Bar & restaurant in Porsgrunn, Noorwegen.
