The term Pale Ale characterizes a lighter type of ale brewed in lighter malts. A beer with a distinctive hops fruity notes and a marked bitterness. The name is derived from a Bulldog named Krut. With over 40 pounds of muscle, Krut deserved respect. he was a true joy spreader just like this beer.

An dark orange beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has papaiya, mango, grapefruit and mandarin. Taste has citrus with grapefruit and mandarin, less fruitness of mango. Almost medium bitterness is balancing the slightly caramelly maltyness. Medium bodied. Nice.

Orange amber beer, small head. Aroma is malt, caramel, hops, citrus. Taste is the same, bitter dry, not bad.

Bottle. Pours nearly clear orangeish amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with estery notes and hoppy touches. Bitter and citric flavour of hops, with notes of yeast and mild touches of fruit and malt. Mild, bitterish and slightly acidic aftertaste. Okay but eather tame and not quite well balanced.

Bottle, 4.8%. Caramelly and dusty aroma. Clear copper colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is malty, almost caramelly. Has a high bitterness, quite clean. Watery mouthfeel.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.8%. Orange to amber colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Moderate aroma of American hops, hints of orange marmalade and pine. Fresh and reasonably well hopped flavour, medium dry, notes of pine needles and grapefruit.

(On tap) Clear deep amber with good white head. Nice aroma - rich fruity and toffee notes. Medium body well carbonated. Taste is dark toffee with some citrus notes and a rather aggressive bitterness in the finish. Drinkable, not great.

From bottle on board Fridtjofen 01.07.17. Dark golden. Foamy and persistent off-white head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of tropical fruits, dried fruits, succade, marmalade and citrus zest. Citrus bitterness and succade is lingering on in aftertaste. Balanced with some pale malt sweetness. Good!
