Can shared at Nieuwjaarsborrel. Pours cloudy brown with no real head. Aroma of cheesy malt. Flavor is heavy sweet. Sickening brown sugar aftertaste. Oww this is so, so bad.

50cl can. Thick off white head. Clear amber pour. Sweet with something in the aftertaste I can’t quite put my finger on. Pretty good for a low alcohol beer.

Small cream to tan head over hazy chestnut to dark brown liquid. Salty nose, as herring in buttermilk and hazelnuts - weird! Precarious balance between salt, sweet and sour... Sweet-sour, again, nutty, but the saltiness is hardly traceable in the flavour, if at all. But in the oral cavity, the balance so at loss in the nose, is achieved. In fact, it has a rather pleasant touch of (weak) Oud Bruin and a bruin tafelbier. Feels - probably rightly so - as if the FG is hardly less than the OG. Very grist-filled and -slick. Carbonation more apparent in the taste than visual. One problem... The Russian shop sold it to me as Kvass. I cannot read Lithuanian - but can they? I liked it, that’s for sure!

Can @ my car on the road to Borefts ’13. Weird brown colour, small to medium sized beige head. Smells caramel, toffee, haagse hopjes, horse feed. Tastes like farm stuff.. Quite horrible. Very sweet, bizarre aftertaste. Thin to medium body, low carbo.

Can @ Auto tasting. Opaque dark orange to brown color, small to medium sized beige head. Smell is fucking awful: cattle-feed. Tastes the same. YUK!

7/V/13 - 50cl can @ home - BB: 10/IV/13 (2013-445) Thanks to Felix for the can!
Clear brown beer, lots of sediment floating around under a fizzy off-white head, unstable and non adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, some grains, dried fruit, bread, cookie dough, hint of chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet and sugary start, lots of dried fruits, mainly plums and dates, brown sugar, caramel, slightly sour, citric touch. Aftertaste: plum jam, sugar, red fores fruit candy, pretty sweet. Ok withing it's own style I guess... (supposedly it's a Kvass)

Medium pale beige head. Clear red body. Light sugary rye bread aroma with wooden notes. Dry-sweet rock sugar and rye bread taste with light spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Aftertaste is the same. Nice, highly drinkable, maybe a bit sweet. (0.5l can from a supermarket in Vilnius. 1.2% ABV, labelled "Salyklo Gira".)
