26/03/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Ambrata chiara, limpidissima, con discreta schiuma biancastra, abbastanza persistente. Aroma intenso e pungente di luppolo, leggermente erbaceo. In bocca è luppolatissima, amara, secca, asciutta, molto decisa. Corpo medio-basso, carbonazione corretta. Forse l’avrei preferita un po’ meno aggressiva e più elegante e bilanciata. Ma è comunque una ottima birra.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. A hazy golden appearance with a light tan head. Pretty floral, earthy hoppy, light citrusy, a touch toasty malty aroma. Fairly grassy, floral hoppy, light pale malty, fairly bitter flavor.

Many bottles. This and Drink in the Sun, were my 2009 session hits. Sweet malty with lots of citric hops and soem caramel. I really love the hoppiness of the american lagers. Greatly made for the style and very refreshing, you could drink it all day.

Bottle from WLV. Pours a hazy deep gold with a grayish brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a nice light pine hops with a bit of backing grains and a hint of resin. Flavor starts with a bit of grain but is mainly nice notes of pine and resin with a hint of backing grapefruit. Quite nice.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar on October 15. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Smell is fresh bread, lemon, butterscotch, orange zest. Taste is bitter with resin, pine, lemon zest and grapefruit. It’s a bit one-dimensional but it’s a very nice thirst-quencher and a great lager!

Holy bejeezus this bottle might be the best Lager ever. Of course, this opinion is based entirely on the fact that this Lager has been hopped all to hell and back, leaving a huge swath of resinous, piney hops floating atop a deliciously creamy semisweet sea of Lager richness. The finish comes away the tiniest bit thin, but the rampant smoothness makes up for any perceived shortcomings. Amazing, wondrous beer.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Labeled Dream Pils. Pours hazy orange gold with a four finger creamy white head. Aroma seems very resinous. Near med body. Flavor is very resinous - almost coating the mouth with resin. There’s a little floral and fresh non-citrus fruit, and maybe a little citrus, but I think it’s mostly resin. Wowser. This has gotta wake ya up.

12 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma of grassy pilsner hops, light citrus and bready malts. Flavour of fresh grass, corn, bready malts and a stale, metallic finish. Despite being rated the best premium lager in the world, this is quite bland / poor. I guess by American Dream they meant copying all the watery piss lagers dominating the US macro "beer" market.
