This big mother of a Russian Imperial Stout is often considered one of our true classics. Despite the 13% ABV, you'll find Black Albert to be dangerously drinkable. With its thick, tar-like body, it's definitely a sipper, but the alcohol is very well-hidden.

"Black Albert", "vintage 2023", Fläschchen von Belgoshop.de, 29.8.2026. - Pechschwarz, kläglicher Schaum. - In der Nase fettes Röstmalz, Lakritz, Sirupsüße, feine belgische Hefe und elegante kühl herbale Hopfung. - Antrunk klebrig schwer röstmalzig, dumpf lakritzig und massiv süßsauer. Matte Malzbittere und zu schwache herbale Hopfung können den fetten Malzkörper nicht auflockern. Etwas zu stark rezent. Im Abgang unschön säuerliche Züge. - Entschieden zu lakritzig um mir zu gefallen.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met het opruimen van de schuur. Het is een pikzwart met een vol bruinig schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout en koffie. De smaak is vol gebrande mout, rozijnen, chocolade en koffie.

3/5/2026. Bottle at the ITFC Promotion Party (2026) beer share. Courtesy of Jean-Baptiste, cheers my friend. Good pour. Very boozy, lots of chocolate, roasted malts, nutty, dried fruits, dates. Sweet alcohol warmth. Medium body. Good.

Pours deep brown/black color with one finger of frothy brown head. Roasted malts, chocolate and dried fruit aroma. Rich malty, roasty, liqourice, dark chocolate, oak wood and dried fruits flavor. Medium body, smooth, light alcohol warmth.

Nearly black with a thin dark head. Roasted malts, molasses, dark ripe fruits, alcohol, oak, a bit of earth. Medium to thin body. Very warm booze in the finish with some molasses. Dry. Too hot for its own good.
