On tap at Henriks. Dark black colour with a small dark beige, almost creamy, head. Pleasant and classic stout aromas of coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate with a hint of smoke. The flavours is mostly parallel with the aromas but feels a bit sweeter in the mouth. It ends with a accelerating chili bitterness that lasts. I regularly dont fancy very hot food, but this chili-burn in my mouth feels pleasant in the end. A fantastic creation!

(Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, 16 Feb 2012) Black colour with creamy, brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of dark chocolate, black coffee, dark rye bread and hints of peat. Roasted, malty taste with dark chocolate, cocoa, strong black coffee and a certain chili bite coming through in the finish (and growing throughout the glass). More than medium body, fairly dry. Very nice and well balanced stout/porter with an interesting chili bite. Excellent beer.

Tasting at Papsø, 7.7% ABV
Black color; brown head, nice lace. Aroma of roasted malt, paper, alcohol, chocolate, light smoke. Roasted malt flavor, strong, sandy; later the chilli kicks in; the smoke is subdued; the combination chilli-roasted malt is quite good but not what I expect in a beer; the smoke touch is present but light as well. A quite good beer, but the chipotle doesn’t add anything better.

(Draught at Sorbon, 20111115) The beer poured black. Its head was huge - pouring took some time - and light brown. Aroma had roasted malts, smoke and liquorice. Palate was full bodied and burning (not alcohol burning but chilli burning) with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, coffee, liquorice, chilli pepper, hops, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. The chilli burning was quite intense. A surprisingly good chilli beer.

Bottled 330ml. -from Ølbutikken, Kopenhagen. Pitch black coloured, medium to big sized brown head, hoppy chocolate nose. Strong roasted malt, chocolate and coffee taste with burning chilli that shows up after few seconds. Well balanced and enjoyable brew. I like chilli a lot so I really enjoyed this one.

Tap @ Beer Temple. Black color, brown head, good lacing. Aroma’s of roasted malts, cocoa, mocha, spice. Flavor is slightly sweet, roasted, with some spiciness. Medium body. Finishes with more roast, a bit of ash and bitter coffee, only slightly spicy. The spiciness is only moderate so you can actually taste the beer.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pitch black colour, low tan head. Lovely roasty aroma, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice and hickory smoke / bonfires. The flavour is also roasty and smoky, medium dry. A distinct chili burn in the finish and aftertaste. Quite good.
