An American Porter brewed with chipotle chilies, giving it a rich and robust malt base combined with a tingly spice.

Bottle. Blackish brown beer with a strong brown head. The aroma is strongly roasted, and the flavour is more roasted and bitter but with quite a potent chilli / peppery finish - a bit like a very, very, very strong ginger ale. Overall the flavours are very good but the chilli component is a bit over powering, you really only want this beer once.

Pitch black color, subtle smokey and chipotle nose with some dark chocolate notes. Big chipolte and spicy chillies, like chili in a bottle. Intense, very unusual, but complety kick ass beer. Wow. Chilies linger in the finish. Excellent

Kolsvart med högt beige skum. Lätt rökig doft. Torr, fyllig len vätska. Rökig, men inte så kärv, växande rökig chilismak som funkar väldigt bra.

Sample tried at Gothenburg Beer Festival on September 3. Pours a black liquid with a small brown head. Smell is of roasted malt, tobacco, chocolate and green chili peppers. The taste is dominated with the smoked character of the chipotle pepper but there is also some liquorice and chocolate. The aftertaste is dominated by the chili heat but as someone used to hot food I don’t take too much notice of the heat. A good chili beer even though I can imagine that people not used to chili would have enjoyed less heat.

Tap. Very dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma has roasted malt, pine and plenty of fruity and smokey chipotles. That rich fruitiness that’s a big part of the appeal of them comes right through. Slightly syrupy. Taste has firm but not harsh roast, moderate fruit and brown sugar sweetness, barbeque. Finishes dry, and at first there’s not much chilli heat, but it builds. It’s kind of one note, but that note is itself complex. Good.

A tall, long lasting tan head rises out of this black bodied brew. Rich aroma of cocoa, coffee with some smoke. The flavor follows the aroma with a peppery, slightly hot finish. Very well done pepper beer! I’ll have another one of these!
