An American Porter brewed with chipotle chilies, giving it a rich and robust malt base combined with a tingly spice.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy nice aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Alas too much chili. I hate chili in beer!. Long moderate bitter burning finish. Improoves with chocolate I must admit. Creamy palate.

Deep dark brown head. Opaque black body with strong carbonation. Roasty chocolatey aroma with smoky resiny notes. Dry-sweetish burnt chocolate and chili taste with smoky notes. Fizzy sharply hot mouthfeel. Light body. Dryish resiny burnt aftertaste with chocolatey chili notes. Not bad, but so hot and spicy the flavour is hidden in the background. (0.75l bottle, Γlbutikken, Copenhagen.)

Black with a brown head. Aroma is hard roasted malt, dark chocolate, peated smoke and chili. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and bitter finish, where the chili really sets in and burns your throat. 080510

750 ml bottle into tulip. Pours midnight black with a large lacy dark tan head with awesome retention. Smells of campfire smoke, tobacco, leather, chipotle. Taste is bittersweet with a spicy finish. Spiciness lingers in the throat for a nice long time after the swallow. Carbonation is medium, mouthfeel is creamy, body is medium to full. AWESOME.

Bottle (Chipotle Porter) shared by someone at RBWG 2011, thanks
Appearance: Dark brown with a medium sized tan head and good lacing
Aroma: Dark malts and chipotle
Taste: Smooth mouthfeel of dark malts, smoke, chipotle and chocolate
Decent, but the chipotle overpowered the roasted malts which ruined a potentially great beer.

Tap @ Fairbar. Pours black with a small ligh brown head leaving lashes on the side of the glass. Aroma of pepper, chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and a hint of smoke. Taste is coffee, chocolate, pepper, brown sugar and a chipotte chili leaving a hot warming bite on your tonque. Full body, soft carbonation, creamy mouthfell. Well done with both good balance and a good chili bite. 200111

Bottle. Body is a lovely dark brown with a thin tan head. The nose is dominated by chocolate, with little else, which initially has me a bit confused and concerned. Itβs a good smell for a porter, but Iβm worried that the \"fire\" from the chipotle wonβt be strong enough. My initial thoughts after the first sip are similar, until the hot and smoky chipotle hits very late in the aftertaste. You have to wait for it quite a bit and then it takes over... the chocolate and chalky malt up front is a tease and then the good stuff shows up. I really like a beer with some fire added, and this is a very good one.
