Corsendonk Rousse is amberkleurig, helder en levendig bier. Typisch, rijk met een lichte toets van hop, harmonieus en evenwichtig. Zacht in de mond met accenten van karamel en een licht bittere afdronk.

33 cl. bottle poured in to a tulip. Dark, copper colour with a thin, white head. Malty aroma with caramel and spices - cinnamon, vanilla and citrus. Taste is medium sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture. Medium finish with a lot of the sweet stuff: Caramel malts, sweet fruits - apricots and cinnamon. No complex yeasts in this one and to sweet for me. Substandard for Belgian beers.

330ml bottle. Clear dark golden to amber colour with huge unstable macropore off-white head. Fruity aroma, red berries, with explicit artificial sherbet touch. Sweet malty and fruity taste, decent prickling sherbet-like undertone. Nice, but too sweet and a bit artificial.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a clear amber-golden hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas are spicy, phenolic, clove, coriander, light pepper, mild, dry fruit esters, a touch of alcohol heat and lightly spicy hop. Flavors are quite sweet, candied nectarines, lightly syrupy, medium duration, mildly spicy hop. Overall very sweet with a lot of caramel like flavors. Lively bubbles, warming. Still feels heavy.

Tap @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Slightly hazy orange colour with a small white head. Smells a bit sugary, sweet and candy-ish. Tastes a bit candy-ish also.. Quite sweet and round. Some iron like taste and some herbs. Okay carbo, medium body.

Bottle @ home, from Burg bieren. Clear amber color, medium frothy head. Aroma of belgian yeast, quite malty, bit fruity. Bit sweet, yeasty esters, bit dry, hint of chocolat. Bit in between a double and a triple. I was expecting something horrible, but itβs not too bad actually.

33 cl. bottle @ home β purchased from Beer Planet β apparently meant for the Italian market β the preference for English & fact that the ingredients are first listed in Italian and than a whole bunch of other languages before Dutch & French appears to confirm this notion β pour a pale lager/ pilsner rosΓ© amber (when I saw the name I first thought that this was a fruit beer but I get the name now) with a sticky, foaming, thick white head β S: fake, almost adjunct-like, bitter with Belgian hops & cork β T: bitter upfront with a fake adjunct-like caramel malt sweetness, sweetness is very fake, bordering on synthetic caramel & artificial sweetener β lots of saccharine here β mixed with a touch of bitterness coming from Belgian hops, touch floral, hay & plenty of red berries β B: light & sticky with above-medium carbonation β overall fake & saccharine? no

Bottled at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Clear amber, coarse mid-sized head. Raisiny and sugar sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Icing sugar atop creme brulee, sprinkled with saccharine and dipped in raisiny wort. Much less elegant than anticipatated. No favourite of mine.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, amber colour with a tall and tanned foamy head. Sweet cara-malty aroma with hints of berry fruits and a tinge of celery. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Fruity and slightly sugary toast-malty taste with a touch of caramel; sweetish and slightly sticky finish. No highlight by Belgium standards. 04.X.11
