Corsendonk Rousse is amberkleurig, helder en levendig bier. Typisch, rijk met een lichte toets van hop, harmonieus en evenwichtig. Zacht in de mond met accenten van karamel en een licht bittere afdronk.

Bottled at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Clear amber, coarse mid-sized head. Raisiny and sugar sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Icing sugar atop creme brulee, sprinkled with saccharine and dipped in raisiny wort. Much less elegant than anticipatated. No favourite of mine.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, amber colour with a tall and tanned foamy head. Sweet cara-malty aroma with hints of berry fruits and a tinge of celery. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Fruity and slightly sugary toast-malty taste with a touch of caramel; sweetish and slightly sticky finish. No highlight by Belgium standards. 04.X.11

Paler copper beer with a cream-coloured, very dense and stable head. Veggie nose, slightly toasted. Caramel, sweet vegetables as scorzanera with creamsauce. Every sip has a returning & mounting sweetness. Bit sticky, medium bodied but with a near-empty palate. Useless swill, pardon my French.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.Clear medium amber to orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, moderate yeasty, spicy, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, spicy, belgium yesty, fruity, fresh overripped fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100420]

20/03 A 0.33 l bottle at Hopdevil, Zagreb. 8% ABV, as stated here. It poured copper body with medium sized head. Fine coriander and citrus yeast aroma along with some caramel and vanilla malts combined. Sweetish sugary and spicy flavor, slightly bitterish alcoholic, nice of course but nothing special. Medium body with long sweetish finish, slightly alcoholic as well. Fine, little bit different after all these German beers I’ve had lately, but too industrial and definitely not among the best Belgian strong ales.

The very oily texture embrace me with its sweetness! This amber-coloured brew with a long-lasting creamy off-white head is "silently" strong beer, i mean: when you feel already in your head, then you ask: where was the alcohol? In the aroma the spicyness is dominating and what’s this: coriander? If you keep in your mouth for some seconds, it so silky melting. Delicious!
