Corsendonk Rousse is amberkleurig, helder en levendig bier. Typisch, rijk met een lichte toets van hop, harmonieus en evenwichtig. Zacht in de mond met accenten van karamel en een licht bittere afdronk.

Draught at Hopdevil, Zagreb.
Orange/golden coloured, small to medium white head, sweet malty alcoholic nose. Very sweet malty, dark fruits and mild spicy taste with metallic and sugary notes in the finish. Nothing special here. 7.5%

Corsendonk Rousse, bottle, 8% (18.3°)Bottle at the Hopdevil in Zagreb. Poured a nice, hazy amber-red body with a tiny white head that went away fast. Chewy malty, somewhat fruity nose. The taste is more of the same, sticky/chewy sweet fruity maltiness, and I’d guess coriander too. Feels a bit different from what I remember the draught Rossa being but if the Belgian admins say they’re the same, and since common sense confirms it, I guess they are. The numbers are similar too. (6-7)/4/6/3/12-13Corsendonk Rossa, draught, 7.5%Draught at the Hopdevil in Zagreb (they say 7.5%). Poured a slightly coppery orange, quite nice. Small-medium sized thick white head that went away slowly. The nose is sweet and malty, cloves mostly with some notes of orange rinds. The taste is odd, sweet, yoghurty with distinct notes of cloves and some odd chocolate and very light carrot which lowers the score a bit. More interesting then expected. Was hoping that I’ve managed to score all the Corsendonk beers but it seems that there’s a new one. 7/4/6/3/14

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, bread, metal, and alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of malt, caramel, and alcohol as well as lighter notes of bread, leading to a very sweet finish where notes of alcohol and caramel lingers. Reminds me of Ceres Red Eric - probably hits its mark in Italy
