Our OG Imperial IPA, Dreadnaught ups the ante with intense citrus hop aromas, a huge malt body, and a crisp finish. Notes of pine, mango, and pineapple are balanced by A strong malt bill which creates a wonderful partner to the strong hop bitterness.

Got this one in a trade with Joeybeerbelly, thanks for the opportunity to try this. Pours a really clear deep golden/orange with a fluffy white head that really hangs around then laces all the way down. Aroma is hops. Spicy, Piney, Citrus and grapefruit hop goodness. There is a little caramel malt hidden deep underneath as well. The taste is really nice, it isn’t as hoppy as the smell would suggest. I taste some caramel from the malt then the grapefruit kind of sneaks in on you. Leaves a citrus twang on the tongue. Well done Imp Ipa, very balanced, very drinkable.

22 oz bottle. Hazy orange, small off white head. Big hops aroma, sweet floral and citrusy. Up front hop flavor is very complex yet subtle, nicely balanced by sweet caramel malt.. Bitter hop finish. Amazing how big the hops flavor is without being overwhelming. Really, really nice!

Location: 22 oz bottle from Binny's Beverage Depot (Naperville), 4/1/11
Overall Impression: Sammy brought me another one, and you know what, at only a 4.2 I seem to have underrated this one! It is really good. I'm bumping the score up... I could drink this stuff all day.
Location: 22 oz bottle from Binny's Beverage Depot (Naperville), 9/10/10
Aroma: The nose has some nice hoppy flavors to it made up of grapefruit, pine, and mango
Appearance: A mostly clear golden-orange color with a small white head that leaves a bit of lace
Flavor: The taste is rather hoppy with a citrusy sweetness, pine, and a nice bitter finish
Palate: It has a nice mouthfeel, fairly smooth, soft carbonation, and a fairly long duration
Overall Impression: Thanks goes out to Sammy for bringing this one to NJ for me. This is really quite good. I think it loves up to the hype. A very solid brew. I can see why it is considered to be a top quality DIPA. (9/4/8/4/17)

Bottle thanks to Matt! Pours clear amber with white head. Nose and taste of extreme citrus, with light pine, dry hops and coriander spices on a strong caramel malt foundation.

Tap @ Copenhagen 2010. Very hoppy aroma. Big bitter taste. Piney, strawberry. Decent DIPA, but I can’t really seem to understand why these three floyds are so outstanding. Huge and big harsh american stuff. Where’s the balance and smoothness?

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Lots of hops of course. Complex and interesting aroma but a simpler taste.
