Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown, practically black, with fine cappuccino foam. Aroma is not strong, with licorice and chocolate, a little alcoholic. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Nice mouthful. Taste has a nice roasty bitterness, without being "coffeeish". Final is rich, long... the real vampire added of this beer... where some coffee comes out as well. Overall, a very nice beer, feeling more like a quadruple than an imperial stout.

Low light tan head on a typical near black body. The nose is understated but intriguing with hints of coffee, cream and coconut.
Balance is what this IS has going for it, but a bit of a letdown on impact. Am mice dry bitter coffee. Semi sweet choc with roasted malt are all there is small amounts. Ashiness emerges as the beer approaches room temperature. What this needs is a double shot of tequilla and a long weekend in Tenerife. Professionally done but still a bit disappointing.

Bottle at home, köszi Kini! Pours jet black with beige head. Nose is molasses, but mainly ruled by a weird, slightly bitter and rather unpleasant, perhaps a bit medicinal character. It’s really hard to put my hands on, but definitely not the first time I meet in in an impy. Anyways, taste is dark chocolate, molasses, slight booze, pretty pleasant... first. But them that weird bitterish touch appears again, ruining it totally. Something definitely went sideways here, not sure what tho.

Great aroma of deark roasted almost burnt malt, coffee, cocoa, and some subtle fresh herbal hops. The flavor is very nice, and smooth, and I would venture to say soft. The hops are prevalent, and very soft, and finish with some more wonderful roastiness. THis drinks extremely well, and the alcohol is nowhere to be found, immensly enjoyable beer, and also dangerous.

Drukket på Lillehøgda. Svart. Lavt lysebrunt skum som blir film. Aroma av lakris & sjokolade. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken lakris, nøtter, sjokolade & røstet malt. Innholdsrik & god. Lett bitter avslutning - m/kakao.

Poured from 440mL can (batch 2747; bb 07/2025). Very dark brown with beige head. Gentle roast malt, mild background licorice, feint fruit note. Enjoyable.
