TITAN IPA is a big, aggressively hopped India Pale Ale brewed for hop disciples. It starts out with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishes with a nice rich, malty sweetness that is balanced with crisp hop bitterness.

Pours clear light orange from the bottle. Frothy white head that lingers. Aroma is more fruit than pine, primarily grapefruit and orange peel. Taste is crisply bitter, mellows slightly at the finish with the caramel complementing the hoppy bitterness. Body is medium, carbonation is moderate, the brew has a smooth, creamy feel. Overall a pretty good IPA, even if a touch too bitter for my mild tastes.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from The Beer Store, Nashua. Appearance is clear, light amber orange with slow, light sparkle, finger-width foamy off-white head with good retention and tons of soapy lacing. Aroma is grass, citrus and mild pine over malt backbone. Taste is initial sweet citrus and fruit changing to pleasantly bitter hay and cracker. Palate is medium bodied with smooth texture, average carbonation and dry bittersweet finish. Overall, this was at the outer boundaries of freshness (9/5/17) so expect this is even better when fresh, but demonstrates good balance and some complexity even still.
