Originally a Wild Dog release commemorating our 10th anniversary. Double Dog Double Pale Ale became here to stay in 2009. Could you control such a beast?
This is a big beer that calls for equally big foods. Flavor notes: Citrus hops with sweet malt and subtle alcohol burn (like a kiss on the cheek) Pairs with: Extra sharp aged Cheddar and stinky Blue cheese; smoked brisket; spicy foods with chili or cayenne pepper; earthy desserts like carrot cake.

Yes, give me more hops! This is a very hoppy and malty beer, with some unexpected dark fruits as well. Very nice.

Grumlig bärnstensfärgad vätska. Arom av tallbarr, kåda och söt mango. Hög beska som matchas av en kraftig maltig, honungig, sötma. Stor fyllig munkänsla med något framträdande alkoholsmak.

Bottle from De Molen. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is rich malty and liqourice. The flavour is strong bitter, with lots of alcohol liqourice bitterness on the palate. A great DIPA, but I prefer the Raging Bitch!

Keg at la Fine Mousse, 16th July 2013. Took a while to get into, but enjoyed this Dog. Obviously strong, good flavours, I wonder if the same result could have been achieved with less ABV

0,33 flaske på Utheim, takk til min gamle venn og kollega Stig! Tenk å finne noe slikt på Harstads bruneste pøseølsted, og at de også hadde Lervigs Rye IPA! Denne hunden lukter intenst av (karamell?)maltsødme og alkohol, med humlen noe tilbaketrukket mot halen. Stor og tung i kroppen og mye bitterhet men uten den elegansen som f.eks Rye ipa har. Godt, men ikke overbevisende.

Bottle 0.33l at Janoinen Lohi, Helsinki. Originally rated 19082011. Colour is clear copper with small head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, hops, sweetness and malts.

Fles 33cl thuis. Zoet, heel bitter, krachtig, kruidig, tjonge. Nadronk (alcohol) blijft lang hangen. (5-2013).

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy am er with stable off-white head. Distinct aroma pf hops. Ditto taste, with subtle grassy notes. Dry aftertaste. A nice thing, i deed, though more like an APA than an ASA.
