On draft at Dominion Wine and Beer. Pours an opaque dark cola brown with a tan head. Aromas are light coffee and raisins. Flavors are moderately bitter with a sweet finish. Yum.

Aroma has notes of caramel, toasted marshmallow, dark bread, minerals. Pours black with a one finger beige head with decent retention. Taste is moderately bittersweet and roasty. Creamy mouthfeel. Reminiscent of English porters.

Bottle. Dark brown almost black body under a small beige head. Complex aroma of roasted, dark malt, dark chocolate, ash and hint green pepper. Taste is surprisingly easy drinkable, sweet, roasted dark malt, chocolate, balanced bitterness and all over super smooth. Fine body and long-lasting aftertaste. A very fine, well made honest porter without any adjunct trick.

500mL bottle, pours black with medium tan head. Aroma is robust, with medium roasted malt, toasted grains, and some earthiness. Flavour is gently sweet, with moderate roast, a hint of cocoa, a hint of coffee, and almost an English-style bready malt. Almost reminds me of a stronger Fuller's London Porter, with a fuller mouthfeel and a touch more sweetness. Sturdy and robust -- it's definitely an excellent porter, but what could justify the rather insane price tag on this?

The aromas are mainly roast and cocoa with a little coffee and hints of molasses. Flavors are much like nose, and as it says on the label not overly sweet with good soft carbonation and body. Easy finish and good drinking beer but could have been better even less sweet.

500ml bottle [7.0% abv]. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Minimally bready-grainy, roasty dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, hints of dark bread, a touch of liquorice, cautious grassy-herbal hoppy overtones with a touch of eucalyptus. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty and bitter, slightly grassy-herbal hoppy, notes of coffee, liquorice, a touch of eucalyptus, a more subtle, sweet-ish, minimally chocolately and bready, dark malty touch as well; lingering dark malty finish with a touch of salted liquorice and rock sugar. Creamy to viscous texture, silky, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, very fine, soft, creamy carbonation. Rich, manifold, diversified, not fully harmonious; velvety mouthfeel - good!

Bottle from explosivedog, I think: pours near black with a beige head. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate, some dark fruitiness. Taste is slightly sweet, roasty bitterness. Nice aftertaste. Solid.
