Guldenberg is a high-fermenting, balanced bitter beer. The origin of the name comes from the former Guldenberg-abbey in Wevelgem where monks used to make beer. Also, Wevelgem is the birthplace of one of the brewers.
Taste: A full-bodied abbey beer that balances between sweet and bitter. It is dry-hopped with Hallertau Mittelfrüh which results in a unique soft-bitter taste and aroma.

Dark golden to light orange. Quite dense white head, average size, sub par retention and lacing. Aroma: soft doughish and slightly sugary base, citric notes (mainly orange, slight lemon), peach, a hint of spiciness. Taste: medium to high sweetness, medium or slightly aove medium carbonation. A sweet edge in the mouth and a slight bitter edge in an earthy, not too dry finish. Taste notes as per aroma, plus a rather vivid earthy note that feels a bit too high and kinda mutes down the other taste notes. Medium to dense body, medium carbonation, slightly sub par carbonation per style. A semi-full, soft mouthfeel. Ok, but lacks complexity or refinement.

Bevuta in bottiglia. Birra bionda molto profumata e molto alcolica. Leggero amaro finale che non da fastidio.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours reddish amber, hazy, with a nice soft head of whitish fine foam. Aroma is herbal, rosemary, toffee. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium sweet, with average bitterness, which however becomes dominant - even too much - in the long final.

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma bianca fine persistente, color giallo oro velato, al naso lieviti belgi spezie frutta gialla marmellata di pesche miele note erbacee, in bocca spezie frutta a pasta gialla marmellata di pesche leggero coriandolo, carbonazione decisa, corpo medio, alcool perfettamente bilanciato, secca asciutta, amaro accentuato molto lungo nel finale.
