Imperial Porter.
Shall one compare thee to a fair beer,
Not even this perfect porter before thou will do thee justice.
Thou art more complex, brave and cunning.
Thou have changed more than a brew will ever.
Thou may be lil’, but thy mind is greater than words can speak and beer will ever taste.

A black beer with a medium and light brown head. The aroma is powerfull, roastiness, sweetness, hint of vanilla, some fruits, and also hint of alcohol in the background. Taste is rich of malts, salt liquirice, some overriped fruits, lots of herbal hops, roastiness. Powerfull and slightly boozy end. Full bodied, low carbonation. This isn’t an easy beer but rewarding. Very powerfull, almost too much of alcohol but still enjoyable.

A deep dark stout, viscous, with a thin creamy dark brown head. In aroma, nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with molasses, vanilla, prunes, light doughy character, nice. In mouth, a super sweet chocolate with loads of vanilla, licorice, coffee, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Torst

Draft as well as 12 oz bottle currently. Rating is a coronation of the both samples. Pitch black with tan head that doesn’t diminish. Aroma is lovely. Lots of roast, deep barley, chocolate and light vanilla.
Flavor of molasses, dark chocolate, coffee, brownie batter and burnt grain. The alcohol is noticeable in the bottle but was not at all during the draft sample. Most anything is better on draft. Lots of lingering roast with a dry texture. Secondary flavors of coca nibs and light bitter coffee to help cut the sweetness. Body is full and luscious. A sipper for sure but great flavor overall, I love this brew!

Bottle from Bottledog, Kings Cross. Not far off black. Thin, sticky, lasting, tan head. Chocolate malt. 60% cocoa solids chocolate. Marshmallow. Vine fruits. Booze. Taste and palate are luscious, thick, malty, fruity sweetness. Doesn’t feel 11%, by a long way. Finish is boozy, dry, cocoa bitter. Preposterously silly, easy to drink. Lovely.
