Bottle. Pours hazy coffee brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with some estery notes. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with pronounced notes of yeast and metal and some notes of hops. Rough and roasty aftertaste with metallic hints. Well, the fans of Slayer- or Sepultura-like beer might enjoy it, but I have grown out of real heavy metal, I guess.

50cl bottle at Lángos papa, Budapest. Pours close to black with a beige head. Malty and caramelly aroma with hints of roasted malt and dark fruits. Sweet, malty and caramelly without much bitterness to speak of. Fairly drinkable, but hardly memorable.

0.5 bottle at the Librarian club’s pub at the Faculty of Philosophy in Budapest. Cheers Vjeko! Clear dark brown with orange tint, small lasting tan head. Aroma is roasted malts and caramel, also cereal. Has a little roasty sting, some sweetness, some alcohol. Soft carbonation, medium body. Light malty finish. Not that bad.

Dark brown coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of coffee, light earth, nuts, caramel and a bit of smoke. Medium-bodied; Earthy flavour of malt along with mushrooms are noticeable at first then fade to a smooth caramel sweetness with a touch of coffee on the finish. Aftertaste is relatively smooth with the caramel, toffee and also showing a little nuttiness and vegetable flavours as well. Overall, much better than expected and a surprisingly good beer - worth trying if you like the style and to break out of the pale lager funk. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased yesterday at Prima grocery in central Budapest, Hungary for 209HUF sampled in my apartment hotel in the centre of Budapest, Hungary a day later on 25-March-2016.

Can from a supermarket in Budapest. Pours dark brown in colour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt and caramel. Medium/heavy sweetness, little bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation.

Pours a black color with small off-white head. Smell of roasted malts and yeast. Thin body with medium to high carbonation. Taste is a bit bland and generic, roasted malts, yeast, notes of coffee. Slightly metallic. A bit weak, thin and watery. Overall, not impressed with this one. Generic.
