Handcrafted at the tiny All Saints Brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. Finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which, having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic cherry, strawberry, raspberry or apricot fruit juices and more organic beer to create fruit beers of considerable strength and flavour. The smooth distinctive character of the matured beer serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Ruby red pour, slightly pink head. Aroma of sweet juicy raspberry juice. Flavor is pretty much all raspberry juice with a touch of tartness near the finish. For all the men who have wives that hate beer buy a couple cases of this. If they still claim to not like beer they are liars and just doing it to spite you! For shame!

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a deep red/purple with a small pink tinged head which lasts well. Lovely raspberry fruity aroma, not much beer elements on the nose. Taste of that wonderful raspberry, a certain creaminess to it in flavour and mouthfeel, quite sweet with a modest tartness, some grain notes in the background remind you its still a beer. Very good.

If there is one thing that Sam smith does really well, is their beers are always over the top in flavour. Good lord.

550 ml bottle. Clear ruby red color. Frothy tan head. Big, fresh raspberry aroma. Flavor is sweet raspberry with a bit of tanginess. Maybe some apple as well. Clean and straightforward. A nice brew.

Bottle at Princess Louis. Aroma us sweet with a dry edge. Clear ruby. Foamy white head. Sweet raspberry with a sour tangy edge. Then sweetness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long finish. Nice.

Light red with a thin, white head. Fruit jam aroma, although closer to a mix of boysenberries, plum and raspberry than purely the latter. Has a light pungency to it. Taste is tart, sweet with lingering raspberry syrup on the tongue. Body stays fairly light, carbonation moderate to mild. Decent, but nowhere near the level of the great fruit beers I‘ve had from New Glarus.
