12oz can. Hefty, full bodied Amber of the past. Quite a solid brew, the Tettang is a nice touch. Straightforward by 2025 standards. Offers balance and depth, more than most beer can these days. Good.

Can pours reddish amber with steady carbonation and a thin tan head that quickly reduces to lace. Aroma of sweet malt, watery mouth feel, sweet malt flavor upfront followed by a strong grapefruit rind bitterness that lasts.

Amber colour, steady beige head. Odd perfumic nose. Medium-bodied. Caramalt and alcohol in the flavour. Harsh.

Pours reddish brown and smells mostly of caramel malt. It tastes sweeter than the stated ibus would suggest. Caramelmalt. A little hops bitterness. It’s pretty average though that makes it quite good for the price point.

Kick ass bottle from trader joes on morrisville. Pour is darker yellow. Nose is a little volatile. A little better than the PLZNR but still has a little bit of that astringent phenolic feel to it. Yes, the alky content is prevalent and it is even a little rougher than your typical malt likker. Really cant appreciate this stuff as a red ale. Any maltiness in this is overridden by the astringent immature bite. Rude finish but at least there is a slight feeling of euphoria in the end after finishing the bottle.

Bottle from Trader Joe's Bedford Dark amber red in color with a decent sized off white head that persists. Caramel and a hint of chocolate and smoke with some earthy citrus to counter. Clean well made, welcome to craft beer in 1997.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Trader Joe's, Bedford NH. Appearance is pretty, clear copper-amber with tons of sparkle, finger-width foamy beige head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is caramel malt with earthy leaves. Taste is caramel, earthy minerals, cardboard, European hops. Palate is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft-to-average carbonation, hint of alcohol warmth and dry, earthy finish as taste. Overall, basic elements are there but not inspiring. OK. Gorgeous look.
