Handcrafted at the tiny All Saints Brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. Finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which, having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic cherry, strawberry, raspberry or apricot fruit juices and more organic beer to create fruit beers of considerable strength and flavour. The smooth distinctive character of the matured beer serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Pours a deep red into an english pint. Frothy pink head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Raspberry puree aromas. Strong sweet raspberry from front to back turning to a slightly seedy and stale sour finish.

Big brown odd shaped bottle. Lucious raspberry fruity aroma. Smells like many real lambics I’ve sampled. Cloudy dark looking beer with an alabaster pink head. Delicious raspberry taste amoung other ale attributes, fairly nice! For over 5%, hides the alky content very well. Enjoyable, perhaps a very nice holiday beer. Could drink this stuff all day. Fruity and friendly, a character that is lacking in most fruit beers which lack real fruit character. There is this slight hint of bitterness in the background that keeps you alert to the fact that it is an ale. Good tingle carbonation on the palate. Finish is quite good except for that average bitter ale bite building on the center of the tongue. Not bad overall and I found this to be a beer worth it’s $!

500 ml bottle from GM LIquors. Nose of raspberries with moderate sweetness. Clear raspberry red with a moderate pinkish head. Flavor is raspberry with a mild tartness, not as sweet as their strawberry.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Ruby liquid with a pinkish head. Raspberry is the aroma. Flavor is sweet raspberry. Not even much seed bitter. Seems med. body with frothy carbonation. Not so bad. Goes fairly well with salad. Kind of fun.

Bottle. It pours a hazy, red body under a a small, pinkish white head. Raspberry, sweetness, berry-like sourness and jam on the nose. A bit weak. The flavor is sweet and raspberry-ish, with some sourness. It lacks a bit, but is quite decent. Medium body with some acidity. Sweet, berryish finish. A quite decent one, even though it lacks something in both aroma and flavor. (090228)

35.5 cL bottle. Pours hazy deep amber/pinkish with a dense pink head. Sweet and candy like raspberry aroma. Flavour too is quite sweet and citric with a quite solid raspberry note so strong it can almost only be artificial - yet it doesnt taste anything else but sweet and as such doesnt give an artificial impression. Sweet and citric finish.
