Handcrafted at the tiny All Saints Brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. Finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which, having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic cherry, strawberry, raspberry or apricot fruit juices and more organic beer to create fruit beers of considerable strength and flavour. The smooth distinctive character of the matured beer serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Bottle: Poured a deep red color ale with a large pinkish color foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of fresh sweet raspberries is quite refreshing and totally dominated the aroma. Taste is also dominated by huge aroma of pure raspberry juice with light tart notes and dry malt base that is not able to come out of the fruit base. Body is abut average for style with good carbonation. I must admit that this was quite well made with loads of raspberries and no fake syrup taste. Remind me of when I had fresh raspberry juice at my grand-mother place 15-20 years ago.

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks David Cohen. Clear red color with a small pinkish head. Sweet aroma of raspberries and some candy-ish notes. Sweet sugary raspberry candy flavor with light acidic hints in the back. The finish has a bit less sweetness and some light subtly hoppy hints. Medium-bodied.

550 ml bottle, given to me as a Christmas gift by my wife. SC2311 marked on the neck of the bottle. Pour is hazed ruby red and brown with a fluffy three inch off white and slight pink head. Falls slowly. Aroma of fresh raspberry puree and cinnamon, with some spice yeastiness behind that. Nice and fresh fruit. Taste is the raspberry puree of the nose, bright and fresh like the nose but much sugar sweetness than nose suggested. The yeast picks up with the cinnamon in the back along with some subdued raspberry tartness. Clean and fresh. Palate is a bit syrupy, though has enough carbonation to lift the sweetness some. Overall a clean and refreshing fruit beer.

Sampled from a 550 ml brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant pink-fuchsia with a huge dark pink head. The aroma was musty, tart and had a fairly strong raspberry jam note. The flavor was tart raspberry jam with notes of sugar and must. The finish was medium length berry. Fairly full bodied. Very one dimensional but quite pleasant. Quite good.

Bottle from Centurion Vintners, Stroud. Red in colour with a momentary pinkish-white head. Strong raspberry and cherry fruit aroma with accompanying sweetness. Flavour had bucketloads of sweet raspberry fruit, before a hint of dryness in the finish. Ok.

Bottle: Dark ruby pour with a creamy pinkish head. Aroma is rich with sweet and tart raspberries; very fresh. Flavor is also full of fruitiness, sweets, and tart. Much better than anticipated and very enjoyable.
