Handcrafted at the tiny All Saints Brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. Finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which, having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic cherry, strawberry, raspberry or apricot fruit juices and more organic beer to create fruit beers of considerable strength and flavour. The smooth distinctive character of the matured beer serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Sample at the Molen monthly tasting. very thin white head. Huge raspberry aroma. Clear red pour. Lots of taspberries in the taste. A bit too sweet. Better than I was expecting for a fruit beer.

Bottle. Pours Deep red without a head. Lots of rapsberry taste, but no beer taste. A bit too medicinal/artificial finish.

550 ml bottle into imperial pint glass, bottled on 9/17/2013. Pours fairly crystal clear dark ruby red color with a 1-2 finger dense light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tart raspberry with a good amount of fruity/sugary sweetness and some light bread. Very nice aromas with big authentic fruit presence and a nice fruit/sweetness balance; with great strength. Taste of big tart raspberry with moderate fruity/sugary sweetness, light bread, and slight herbal hops. Slight earthy herbal bitterness on the finish with a fair amount of fruit tartness; with lingering notes of tart/sweet raspberry flavors on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness of authentic raspberry flavors; with a great sweetness/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly syrupy mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent fruit beer as expected. All around great robustness and balance of authentic tart raspberry and fruit/sugary malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Riktigt fin väl kyld i sommarvärmen.

Live review.
This is poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance is a nice looking hazy red color with a thick two and a half fingered reddish white foamy and bubbly head. Once the head starts to die in a concave sort of fashion, there’s a ton of thick foamy lacing (nice show!).
The smell has a ton of raspberry up front in a sweet sort of way.
The taste is sweet raspberry with a decent wheat kick near the end.
On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium in body with a decent sessionable aspect about it. The carbonation seems to be extremely smooth in this one.
Overall, I like it. This is a pretty good raspberry ale with a decent refreshing quality that’ll make your summers enjoyable.

Rötliches Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch süß nach Himbeeren, etwas malzig, hopfig, so ist auch der Geschmack.
