Handcrafted at the tiny All Saints Brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. Finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which, having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic cherry, strawberry, raspberry or apricot fruit juices and more organic beer to create fruit beers of considerable strength and flavour. The smooth distinctive character of the matured beer serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; red/brown pour with pink fluffy head, sweet and raspberry aroma, taste is quite sweet with raspberry some tartness, pale malt.

550 ml bottle. Pours a dark jammy red with moderate pink head that settles quickly. Aromas of raspberry and strawberry jam. Follows through with a similar thick raspberry flavor. I don’t know if this is a beer or a fruit drink - but it’s enjoyable.

Poured from 550mL bottle. Medium dark red with pink head. Aroma of actual fresh raspberries, no concentrate noticeable whatsoever like most other raspberry beers. Taste does seem to have a little extra sweetness added, but it still gets that sweet and tart nature of raspberries to show through. Medium body, finish a little on the shorter end of things. Definitely one of my top fruit beers.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor Fort Collins. Pours a hazy plum appearances with an off white / a touch pinkish head. Juicy, tart, raspberry / cranberry, slightly sweet aroma. Somewhat goopy, raspberry purée, plum, tart berry, soda-like flavor. Best of the fruit renditions I’ve had by Samuel Smith. Pretty good.

Bottle. A- Raspberry. A- Dark red color, hazy liquid, pink head. T- Raspberries, slightly sweet, slighty tart. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, tart finish. O- A great beer. The raspberry is a little on the sour side but still very good.

Deep red clear beer with a good size pink head! Palate is light and a little crisp. Big raspberry with both tart and sweet aspects. Sweet just about wins but the tartness is always there. Finishes neutral.

Bottle at PIB, pours an opaque ruby red with a small pink head. Aroma of pure raspberries, not much else to say about the nose. Flavour brings out raspberry pur�e, with a medium sweetness that never cloys. Very pungent and natural tasting. Nothing artificial here.

Bottle. Rich reddish beer with a pink head. Nice raspberry aroma. Big raspberry flavor with malt backing. Medium bodied. Big raspberry lingers with backing malt.
