Dit geelgoud gerstebier met een kleine hoeveelheid tarwe heeft een heerlijke citrustoets. Door het gebruik van fijne hoppen is dit bier mooi in balans. Hergisting op fles. Bier gebrouwen sinds: 2001

33cl bottle on 27th Nov 2016 in the tasting room of the Bier Paleis, Brugge. Slight haze to the old gold body, a fast fading white head came and went. Barley sugar sweet with a citrus twist, dry finish: not overly impressed.

Goudgeel met een witte schuimkraag. Het bier ruikt zuur en heeft een friszure smaak. De nasmaak is vooral zuur.

Slightly hazy golden coluor, a lot of tiny bubbles, large frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma of pale malts, peach, apricot, orange, yeast, grass. Taste is light heavy sweet and light bitter, malty, fudge. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, nice sweetbitter aftertaste with roasted malts, spicy notes and a light citrus twist. Not your typical blond but overall a pretty pleasant Belgian ale.

Clear golden colour, huge white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, green banana. Sweet malty flavour, light bitter. Very fizzy. Yeasty finish. Nicely drinkable, but lots of carbo.

Blonde session beer named after the region in northeast Flanders where the Boelens brewery is located. Thick egg-white head over hazy, warm orange-hued peach blonde beer. Estery, slick pale malts, some cooked cabbage (DMS) too, yeasty finish, some spicy phenols. Passes but remains a straightforward and, frankly, rather boring Belgian blonde like there are way too many on the domestic market.

Bottle from Geers Bit of a gusher ( many of Boelens have this lately, some are even very wild gushing ! ) yet its not a constant thing by them ... Huge white foam over a clear blonde beer . Lucky for me , the foam fades rather fast . Smell is sweet malts, rather simple . Def. overcarbonated . I hope this is not how it should be ... Taste is watery, with a bitter backbone . a bit of dry , tasteless grainy character . Even though I really hope this is not the way its ment to taste, so far I can only conclude that this is an opposite of the quality they usually have ; an overcarbonated, tasteless gusher . First drainpour in a long time ...
