A soft off-white head with excellent lacing. The body is dense and opaque. Colour is a rich chocolate caramel. The nose features caramel and berries. This is a top notch euro scotch ale. The carmel body is smooth and rich. There are touches of banana from the yeast and blackberries. this is not my favourite approach to a scotch ale - I prefer roasted malt, more nuts and a touch more hops in the background. But this is extremely well crafted.

From bottle at Skrivestova in Budapest 09.09.2025. Mahogany. Foamy and rocky brown head. Moderate aroma and fine taste of dried berries, rasins, currants, dates and sweet, dark malt. Lingering aftertaste.

14/6/2025. Bottle from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Pours clear dark amber brown with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is malted, raisins, chocolate, bready, toffee, brown sugar. Quite sweet with medium bitterness and body. Average to soft carbonation.

On tap at Gulden Draak Bierhaus in Prague. Pours murky amber with a light beige head. Plenty of dried berries and some caramel on the nose. Flavour has dried berries, esters. The whole thing comes off quite medicinal despite it's deteriorating effect on my liver. I don't think Belgian yeast belongs in a scotch ale.

Bottle. What an unusal beer. A Scotch Ale from Belgium. Needless to say this my first Scotch Ale so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I found it to be a nice beer. A little thick but overall tasty.
