Bloody ‘Ell – We have never brewed a straight IPA at Beavertown, why change the habit of a lifetime! Here we take a stripped back IPA malt bill and highly hop it with the tropics of Amarillo and Citra and pile head on with kilos of Blood Orange zest and juice late in the boil, bringing you a smack of citrus and hints of warm orange aromas. One of our favourite and most popular seasonal brews. We will be canning Bloody ‘Ell too from February until the bloody oranges run dry!

Appearance: Cloudy light brownish color with a thick off white head, Good lacing.
Aroma: Mild grapefruit hoppy and very fruity (not the typical tropical – blood orange I quess).
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet and a fresh bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Lovely balanced grapefruit hoppy and a bit unusual fruity. Blood orange probably.
Overall impression: Nice combination. Lovely and tasty.

World Cup Tasting. Cloudy golden with a big and lasting white head. Aroma of citrus with grass, hay and floral notes. Sweet malty and fruity flavour with obvious notes of blood orange. Some harsh bitter notes and grassy hints of too old hops

VM Tasting @ Christian. Pours hazy dark golden with a creamy head. Yeast, bitter orange peel, grapefruit and soapy like notes. Dry and bitter.

Flaska från SB. Smutsig bärnstensfärg, krämigt smutsvitt skum. Stor grapefruktig doft som är riktigt fin. Smaken är också fruktig men resinbeskan tar överhanden och har lite fenoliska bismaker. Bra kropp med viss karamellsötma som dock balanseras mer än väl av den rejäla beskan. En tung maffig IPA som inte är klockren men ändå riktigt bra.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy bronze colour, mid sized head. Perfumy citrus aroma. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and blood orange. Abrupt resiny bitter finnish. Highly aromatic, but also very caramelly.

330ml Bottle - Hazy amber in colour. Pine, grapefruit, peach and orange in the aroma. Tangy and zesty taste with notes of marmalade, grapefruit and toffee. Refreshing and enjoyable. The orange notes really come to the fore in the finish.

Keg at dukes brew and que. Aroma is nice pine and citrus orange resin. Orange rind and clean berry ferment in the nose. Translucent light orange with a lasting white head. Flavour is orange resin, lychee and peach spicy hops . palate is clean crisp with light sticky resin hop sticky. Moderately high carbonation. Assertive citrus bitterness bit very clean and in balance. Very impressive.
