Bloody ‘Ell – We have never brewed a straight IPA at Beavertown, why change the habit of a lifetime! Here we take a stripped back IPA malt bill and highly hop it with the tropics of Amarillo and Citra and pile head on with kilos of Blood Orange zest and juice late in the boil, bringing you a smack of citrus and hints of warm orange aromas. One of our favourite and most popular seasonal brews. We will be canning Bloody ‘Ell too from February until the bloody oranges run dry!

Can. Hazy gold with a large white head. Certainly smells like blood oranges. Some hay, grass and pine too. Light bodied, very refreshing, no sign of the alcohol at all. Dominated by orange juice (nice) and some boiled pithy notes (not so nice). Some pine, grass and herbs at the end. Needs more beer.

Keg @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Golden-yellow with a carbonation and a frothy head. There’s lots of tropical fruitiness in this ale which is active in the palate. Both aroma and flavours are well served by its fruit.

Draft at Rustico, Alexandria. Poured a clear copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma was fresh cut blood orange, light milled grains, some light nutty malts. Flavor was similar, lots of juicy citrus fruit notes.
