500 ml bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy very dark brown color with a 2 finger dense and rocky tan head with great retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toast, brown bread, light nuttiness, and herbal/roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee notes; with good strength. Taste of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toast, brown bread, light nuttiness, and herbal/roasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toast, brown bread, light nuttiness, and herbal/roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/silky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice coffee porter. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Nose is coffee, chocolate, caramel. Some soy and kelp. Dark brown, clousy, with lace. Tart edge to it, coffee, minerals. Showing some age.

Norwegian ’coffee porter’ with coffee actually added. Beige foam, colour entirely black. Strong coffee aroma but complex, with lots of bitter chocolate, dark fruits and liquorice accent. Taste smoothly malty, creamy, almost the same mouthfeel as coffee with milk, sweetish and rich, chocolatey, spicy notes, finishing in a strong roasted, black coffee-like bitterness. More a coffee stout than a porter, if you ask me.

Bottle at Beer Hunters. I have rated this before but I noticed that my rating is not on RB so needs to drinked again. Dark brown color, small off-white head. Aroma has pure coffee, coffee beans. Medium-bodied. Flavor is cold coffee, some caramel and low bitterness. This is vintage 2012. Clearly thinner than back then and less aggressive coffee.

Old rating rerated 15.04.2014, 0,5l bottle @ Café Spesial:
Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich, licorice, espresso, dark malts, toffee, chocolate pudding, dark sugar, soy sauce. Taste is slightly rich and sour-ish, espresso, dark malts, burnt caramel, licorice, chocolate, dark sugar, grass. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Very nice, but I wish they would stick to the recipe from the very first batch of this one. It was way better.

Bottle 0.5l at Ölhus Stockholm, Helsinki. Brewed 03.04.12. Bottled 18.04.12. Colour is dark brown with slightly brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Massive coffee, some sweetness and roasted malts. Pretty one-dimensional but enjoyable.

Flaske 0,5l på Vertshuset Skarven 1 Mai 13. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum. Svak - men god kaffearoma.

Bottle - Vintage 2012 - Dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate and more espresso. Jet black with a huge brown head that will not quit. Espresso with a bit of coffee bitterness and a sweet finish. A nice coffee porter, that has much more robust flavors for a relatively low abv.
