Bottled (from K Citymarket, Vaasa). Rubyish brown colour with a small brown head. Aroma is mild fruity notes, some wood, spices and mild chocolaty and nutty notes as well. Flavour is wood, mild resin, some slight chocolate, mild toasted notes as well as mild tartness. Quite nice bitterness in the finish.

500ml bottle from K-Supermarket Kamppi

Pours clear amber brown with a small white head. Aroma of mildly roasted malts, nuts, coffee beans, hints of metallic notes. Taste is sweetish and mildly nutty with some hints of roastiness and coffee. Finish is slightly hoppy and watery with some mild nutty and roasty notes. A bit light bodied and watery brown ale.

A dark brown beer with a weak and beige head. Aroma is quite interesting, dark bread, some chocolate, nuts and wood. Taste is slightly roasted, dark bread, hint of chocolate, surprisingly, almost dry taste that fits nicely into this beer. Roastiness and dry malts in the aftertaste that is a quite longlasting. Light+ palate, moderate carbonation with quite smooth body creates the nice entirety. Quite nice, balanced and sufficiently dry, also enough of interest.

(Draught at Kittys, 20120831) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was lightly brown, medium sized and long lasting. Aroma had malts, molasses and hops. Palate was less than medium bodied with quite high carbonation. Flavours were malts, hops, molasses, hint of vegetables and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Too thin and lacked maltiness for a good brown ale. More like a hoppy and fizzy bitter.

Draught @ Kitty’s, Helsinki
Aroma is quite light with some caramel, toffee, hints of hay, vomit and distant woody notes. Flavour has berries, some coffee and toffee. Somewhat malty palate is slightly too high on CO2 and a bit light. Somewhat dry and woody finish. Decent, but a bit disappointing.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 07/2015
Berries, hayish notes, some coffee and toffee. Also metallic vibes. Still somewhat disappointing. Harsh score estimate: 2.9.
