Bottle. Brownish/reddish beer with a strong head. The aroma is quite musty and thickly malty and the flavour is quite fruity with quite a dry finsh accompanied with a malty body. Overall a very average beer.

Fantastic beer. BB feb 2007 so it has matured well. Creamy off-white excellent fully lasting head. Dark red-amber colour. Heavy malty and moderate hopy aroma. Nutty notes. Moderate sweet light bitter flavor. Long complex finish. Creamy palate. Truly nice beer.

Great to find a dubbel that is actually classified as s dubbel. The beer is dark brown with some sediment. Sweet, fruity aroma like a doublt should have. Flavor has some apple, but not like a flawed green apple flavor and instead the real thing. Surprisingly light citrus and some alcohol taste. Well carbonated, medium palate. A good beer.

(33 cl bottle at The Rover, GΓΆteborg) Full of yeast particle brown look, big lasting tan head. Fresh scent, dew-spread spring meadow, fruity. Sweet fruity marzipan taste. Spritzy high co2 mouthfeel. Low bitterness, sweet aftertaste.

Bottle: Poured a dark reddish brown with a creamy brown head. Smell was of a sweet metallic spice. Roasted smoked malt flavor that finished a bit sour and dry.

Bottled. Amberish ruby colour with huge longlasting beigeish brown head. Aroma is caramel, fruits and spices with a slight yeasty touch to it. Flavour is caramel and spices along with dry dark fruit and yeast. Pleasant palate. Finish also has some berryish notes, especially once the beer gets a bit warmer.

Bottle. Sweet and vinous berry aroma. Dark red colour, very small head. Metallic flavour, a little fruity and tanninish, giving it a harsh bitterness.

(bottle) Red to amber colour with a mid-sized frothy beige head. Dusty dried red fruits (cherries, cranberries) aroma, moderately sweet malty and yeasty. Medium sweet flavour, medium bodied, crispy. Initially toastmalty, fruity; clove spicy, slightly bitter finish with notes of chocolate; notes of cherries in the aftertaste.

(Bottle 33 cl) Amber coloured with a small dense head. Very fresh, sweetish nose - a bit like fruit winegums... With an Abbey Dubbel you expect a sweet, malty, fullness that spreads in your mouth by the first sip - but not here. On the contrary this is slightly watery and rather light in body. The flavours take a little longer to appear, but then you do get some caramel- slightly burned malt. But still more dry than sweet. An unusual but very nice Dubbel. 280897

Bottled (BB 12/2006)
Ruby red, big brown steady head. Aroma has toffee and oak. Taste is quite similar: dry woody with berry-like sweetness. Mouthfeel is quite thin and carbonated and alcohol is not very present. Some cold coffee and roast in the aftertaste. Solid brew but quite straightforward dubbel.
