Cask at the Jerusalem Tavern. Flat as a pancake from the gravity dispense, but still a fine looking pint of beer in the glass. Lots of malt, the expected "St Peters bitterness," which I thoroughly enjoy, in what was a great beer to end the evening. And my 500th rating! A perfect beer for such a milestone, a classic English bitter, in a brilliant pub with a good friend.

Bottle. Caramel color, clear, minimal short offwhite head quickly disappearing. Aroma of caramel toffee roasted malts and grains. Grassy notes. Taste is a bit flat light bitter. Light body soft carbonation mild dry clean finish, easy to drink. Classic red ale.

Pours clear dark ruby body with small and short lasting white head. Smell is lots of caramel and toffee, a bit syrupy. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation and watery texture. Bittersweet and herbal. Aroma of malts, caramel, toffee, herbs, syrup, licorice. Notes of smoke and honey in the mouthfeel. Finish is long lasting, herbal and mostly dry. Overall, nice brew. Lacking in originality a bit, but nice nonetheless.

Kicsi, nem túl tartós hab, vörös szín. Amber ales illatvilág, kissé a karamelles irányba eltolódva. Amber ales alap, de jóval keserűbb, és kevesebb a zöldséges vonás. Nem rossz, de még mindig nem a kedvencem ez a stílus. Utóíze a korty folytatása. Közepesen testes.

This pours a, yes you guessed it, ruby red colour with a centimetre of beige head which drops away to leave some patchy covering. Clear.A very pleasant maltiness dominates the aroma. A little hoppiness as well. A great hoppy bitterness gives you a whack in the mouth. The maltiness takes a back seat.
