Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Some roast and caramel. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Nice bitter.

Tap at the Jerusalem Tavern. It pours ruby red, with a thin beige head and low carbonation. The nose is yeast, brown bread, date and black grape. The taste is date, raisin, black grape, hay, grass, astringent and wood, with a bitter-woody finish. Decent, but not outstanding.

clear brown, smooth offwhite head. nutty aroma, slightly sort of flowery caramelly malty. flavor is bitter caramelly, malty, a red fruit peel sweet bitter. In fact pretty tasty.

Dark ruby-red to amber colour. Lovely bottle. Served in a very big glass. Pretty decent but not one to remember for a long time.

Seichter Hopfenantrunk mit leichter, sich aber untertönig ausbreitender Bitterkeit. Wenig malzig ab dem Mittelteil, dies geht obgleich der nicht allzustarken Aromen unter. Verhalten hopfig-bitter bleibend, mittelwürzig, angenehm, süffig. Zum Endestärker hopfig und auch bitterer. Nettes Bitter. 6/8/9/9/9/9

Originally rated January 2009. This one came in a Christmas pack with their IPA and a nice tall glass (pint) at the LCBO. Pours a caramel-brown colour with a beige fluffy-cream head that lives up, creates nice thick lace all around and still remains a coat to top the brew as you drink it. Carbonation is on the low-side. Aromas of caramel malt and a touch of roasted malt and nuts. These also show up in the taste. A little fruit too and some mild bitterness in the finish. Quite easy to drink actually and wish we could get this one all the time.

Bottle from Voldby. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich hops, caramel, malt and fruits.

500ml bottle. Pours a deep ruby brown with a large frothy head. Aroma is wood, burnt dark fruity malt and a bit eggy. Taste is dark fruits to start and dark fruity malt to finish. Some hops in the aftertaste.

En rostad lätt söt red ale. Fruktig och blommig med drag av svartvinbär, fruktkaka, lite nötig och karamel. Med också frisk citrus- och gräskaraktär och en liten mineralton.

Pretty 500ml flask-style bottle. Reddish amber, coating beige head. Aroma of flowers, nuts, citrus, pears,apple peel, light summer berries. Fruity sweet, touches of caramel and chocolate with plenty of wood and spicy bitterness. A bit lifeless and the bitter end is harsh and throws the beer well out of balance. [2.7] Fresher bottle? Who knows but it’s well in date. Plenty of body and flavorful for well under 4.5%. Chocolate, orchard fruit, quite spicy ad bitter at the end. OK, just a bit lifeless.
